Travel Dubuque asks city for $1 million for Field of Dreams project

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) – Travel Dubuque is asking the City of Dubuque to approve $1 million in funding for the Field of Dreams project in Dyersville.

According to Monday’s Dubuque City Council meeting agenda, members are expected to act on the request.

If approved, the funding will be used for marketing purposes.

The nonprofit group Dyersville Events has purchased the 297-acre site, which plans to build youth baseball and softball fields and a 3,000-seat stadium with the ability to add more than 5,000 temporary seats.
