Four-star QB Brady Hart and Texas A&M will move into 25th class

Four-star QB Brady Hart and Texas A&M will move into 25th class

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class could see a few changes over the next five days with Early Signing Day set for Dec. 4, but as of Friday the Aggies had secured a replacement for 5-star QB Jusan Longstreet, who previously committed to USC. this month.

On Friday morning, Texas A&M received a commitment from 2026 4-star Brady Hart, who just a week ago transferred from Michigan after 2025 5-star QB Bryce Underwood to the Wolverines from LSU. After Longstreet’s loss to his hometown Trojans, getting a QB flip seemed unlikely.

Even better news: Hart will be in the 2025 class and plans to sign with the Aggies next week. He will bring his big arm and high IQ to a quarterback group that could see some attrition this offseason.

Regardless of how the Aggies’ season ends, one to watch in the coming months is redshirt sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman, who could enter the transfer portal this offseason after being benched by current and future starters composition of Marcel Reid.

If that happens, Texas A&M’s 2025 QB room will consist of Marcel Reed, Miles O’Neal, Brady Hart and, if necessary, an additional transfer portal.

In an interview with ESPN, Hart noted that he is excited to begin his collegiate career under head coach Mike Elko and coaching staff Collin Klein, who are entering their second season in 2025:

“Over the last couple of months, a lot of schools have asked me to reclassify,” Smith said. “I felt like I was mentally ready to go to school and start the next phase of this whole thing. I just felt like A&M was just the perfect place.”

No. 19 Texas A&M will host No. 3 Texas on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on ABC.
