The Comelec roadshow will last until January 30, 2025 and will involve the deployment of one ACM in each region, city and municipality across the country. The last shipment of 9,860 ACMs was delivered to the electoral body’s warehouse in Biñan, Laguna on November 27, 2024.

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will begin its tourism campaign for voter education and Automated Counting Machine (ACM) demonstrations next week in preparation for the May 2025 midterm elections.

The Comelec Roadshow will run from December 2, 2024 to January 30, 2025 and will involve the deployment of one ACM in each region, city and municipality across the country.

The Comelec said it will start on December 2 and voter education and ACM demonstrations will be conducted in the following areas:

The constitutional body received the latest shipment of ACMs on Wednesday from Miru Systems, a South Korean supplier of automated election systems that is contracted for next year’s Philippine midterm elections. A total of 112,620 ACM will be used for the May 2025 elections.

The final batch of 9,860 ACM vehicles was delivered to the Comelec warehouse in Biñan, Laguna.
